1. Project introduction

Aerodrome is a ve (3,3) AMM DEX designed to become the primary liquidity center and public product financing protocol on the Base chain.

Aerodrome Finance is a next-generation AMM designed to serve as Base's central liquidity hub, combining a powerful liquidity incentive engine, vote-lock governance model, and friendly user experience. Aerodrome inherits the latest features from Velodrome V2. Aerodrome NFTs vote to distribute token emissions and receive incentives and fees generated by the protocol.

The initial supply of AERO is 500 million, with 450 million allocated for voting lock-up ($veAERO) token distribution.

The weekly emission will be 10 million AERO (2% of the initial supply). The emission schedule will be divided into three stages:

Takeoff: During the first 14 weeks, the emission will increase at a rate of 3% per week, enabling rapid growth as the protocol activates and partners join.

Cruise: After the 14th round, the emission will decay at a rate of 1% per round, ensuring that the total supply inflation decreases over time as the protocol matures.

Aero Fed: When the emission for each period (approximately the 67th period) is planned to fall below 9 million, veAERO voters will control the currency policy of Aerodrome through the Aero Fed system. In each period, voters will collectively choose one of the following three options:

- Increase emission by 0.01% of the total supply (annualized 0.52%)

- Decrease emission by 0.01% of the total supply (annualized 0.52%)

- Maintain emission percentage of the total supply

The winning option will be determined by a simple majority vote. If "increase" or "decrease" is chosen, the emission rate will change for a full period after the vote. The maximum emission rate will be set at 1% of the total weekly supply (annualized 52%), and the minimum emission rate will be 0.01% per week (annualized 0.52%).
