1. Project introduction
Prosper ensures best-in-class execution across this underlying live hashrate, which produces BTC for the DAO foundation’s treasury on an ongoing basis. Meanwhile, Prosper works with various types of partner projects to drive adoption, awareness and development of PROS within the ecosystem.
PROS and the DAO’s treasury’s BTC both represent tangible levers to enable the Prosper community to collectively tap into various opportunities offered by projects in the ecosystem—merge/dual mining, TVL farming, staking/restaking, gaming quests, NFT whitelists, etc.—driving growth in PROS and the treasury size, allowing the DAO foundation to scale and add more hashrate, continuing the flywheel.
2. Token application and distribution
Token application:
PROS and its community have always been Prosper’s priority and central to the ecosystem. Relaunching this new strategy allows us to bring the following utilities for existing PROS holders.
PROS has always been a full-fledged utility token with an extensive range of benefits available to the holders. As the new protocol develops and matures, the team will look to add additional utilities for the benefits of the community.
Token distribution:
- Launch partners’ fresh lock-up period
Prosper’s launch partners are committed to ensuring this new strategy will be a long-term success and have no intention of exiting their positions in the near term. As such, they are willing to commit their PROS token holdings to a fresh lock-up period of 1.5 years:
Relevant wallet addresses will soon be posted publicly on the website for transparency and verification of on-chain transfer records
As a note to the community: no token transfers have happened from these wallets since the relaunch was teased in mid September, this will be verifiable once wallet addresses are shared (only exception being engaging a market maker as announced to the community on social media)
- New fundraising round
We expect to carry out a seed round with a roster of high quality institutional and angel investors (potentially in the range of 4 to 6 million units of PROS tokens). These PROS tokens purchased will be subject to fresh lock-up and vesting period. Relevant details will be announced publicly should this proposed fundraising round be finalized and closed.
- Other existing holders
Existing PROS token holders will not be affected. Your holdings remain fully liquid and will not be affected by the lock-up period mentioned above.
